1. Skipping Sunscreen. 
Choose a broad spectrum sunscreen, which protects against both UVA and UVB, for optimal protection. 

2. Ignoring Your Neck and Chest. 
These areas are almost always exposed, and yet they rarely receive same level of hydration and sun protection as the face. The next time you apply face cream and sunscreen, apply on your neck and down to your décolletage.

3. Using Dirty Makeup Brushes.
Skip washing your brushes and you could end up with muddied colors, clogged pores, and bacterial infections. Once every two weeks, wash the brushes with a gentle shampoo, rinse well, and let them air-dry overnight.

Sleep with makeup and oil buildup on your skin can lead to clogged pores and breakouts. “Your body temperature increases slightly when you sleep, which can enhance absorption of whatever’s on the surface, so you really want only good stuffs on your face when you sleep” says dermatologist Katie Rodan
